Will you be joining your incoming First Year student at their summer Orientation session? Feeling nostalgic? Stay on campus during orientation! On-campus housing for parents and families of students attending orientation is available in the North Hall,located on Hillsborough Street, near the Memorial Belltower.
Enjoy cookies and infused water at check-in, and grab a cup of coffee or tea from the Keurig on the way to your morning sessions.
Housing is available at for $45 per bedroom per night. Each bedroom contains 2 twin-extra long (XL) beds and a private en suite bathroom. Space may be reserved for either one night or two nights, including the night prior to your student’s first day at Orientation.
How do I register?
Spaces are limited and fill up quickly. Reservations must be made online at least five (5) full business days in advance of your intended arrival. Additionally, students attending New Student Orientation are not permitted to stay with their parents in North Hall. Incoming students attending Orientation will be housed in Lee Hall with other students attending the same session.
Pre-payment is required. You will receive an email within 4 business days with a secure link to make payment for your Parents’ Orientation housing. We accept Visa and MasterCard. Upon receipt of payment, you will receive an email confirmation with instructions for check-in.
For parents and families commuting to NC State from distances more than three (3) hours away, you may request to stay in Family Orientation Housing the night prior to scheduled session. If you plan to arrive the evening before your session begins, please indicate your early arrival in the “Additional Comments” section of the Room Request Form. Nightly room rates are the same for arriving early. Any freshmen arriving early for orientation MUST complete the New Student Orientation Early Arrival Request and will be housed in Lee Hall along with other students attending the same Orientation session.
Each furnished, private bedroom contains a full bathroom, 2 twin extra-long beds, desks, desk chairs and wardrobe. Basic bed and bath linens are included in the room rate for Family Orientation Housing (sheets, towels, washcloth, blanket, pillow with pillowcase). North Hall features complimentary in-room WiFi. Televisions, phones and radios are not provided in the room; please remember to bring your cell phone charger or an alarm clock!
Parking is available on-site for lodgers.
