  • Hot work includes any type of open flame, candles, outdoor grills, warming trays, sternos, etc. This type of event requires an inspection by the University Fire Protection Department and a Hot Work permit issued by Fire Protection. If you selected the "open flame" box in the "Setup Details" question above, please describe the type of open flame you will have.
  • If you selected "stage" in the "Setup Details" question above, please indicate the dimensions of your stage as well as the name of the company responsible for set up.
  • Tents that are larger than two hundred (200) square feet must be inspected by Fire Safety. A diagram for a tent larger than 200 square feet must be submitted to Fire Safety at least three weeks before the scheduled event. If you selected "tent" in the "Setup Details" question above, please indicate the dimensions of your tent as well as the name of the company responsible for set up.
  • Amplified Sound includes any type of microphone, speakers, megaphone, radio, etc. Amplification is typically allowed Sunday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and Friday - Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - Midnight. Blackout periods (quiet hours) include reading days and final exams. If you selected "amplification" in the "Setup Details" question above, please describe the type of amplification you will have.
  • Food/Beverage includes anything that can be consumed whether or not the item is being sold or given away. If you selected the "food/beverage" in the "Setup Details" question above, please describe the type of food/beverage you will have.
