The I AM Gallery: Exploring the Subcultural Experiences of Black Masculinities

April 16, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - May 8, 2023 @ 5:00 pm

Black men are not a monolith. Black masculinity is vast and expansive. Through this art gallery, Black masculinity will be on display in various forms. Through the medium of photography, the Black Male Initiative (BMI) Village members and other members of the NC State community captured what Black masculinity means to them and shared how they want to be seen in the world. Images will be accompanied by a poem that tells the story of each person participating in the exhibition. This gallery is curated in partnership with the African American Cultural Center.

Join us for the gallery opening and reception on Sunday, April 16 at 2 p.m. in the AACC Gallery. The gallery will be displayed until Monday, May 8.

Please RSVP for the reception by April 12th at https://forms.gle/Y6Q6YqpLzEjQjudK8
