Guest Housing Availability

Guest Housing reservations are now open for stays beginning August 1, 2026. We look forward to welcoming your guests to campus!

Eligibility

• Guests must be affiliated with NC State University as:
  1. A visiting faculty/staff member;
  2. A sponsored guest of an NC State University department or current faculty/staff member;
  3. The primary guest must be at least 21 years of age.

Reservations

Guest housing is limited to stays of a minimum of two (2) nights, and a maximum of thirty (30) nights during an academic year. Reservations must be made via our website at least one week prior to your requested arrival date. Guest Housing reservations may not be requested more than four (4) months in advance of the intended arrival date. Reservation requests are reviewed in the order in which they are received. After submitting an online request, a confirmation email will be sent if a room is available for the date(s) you indicated. If space is not available, you will receive an email indicating as such. You can expect a response within 2-4 business days after we receive your request.

Occupancy Limits

Occupancy is limited to two (2) individuals per bedroom.

• Please read the Guest Apartment Housing Terms and Conditions. By completing the reservation form, you are agreeing to these terms.
• It is important to specify the total number of guests in your reservation so that our staff may determine if an appropriate accommodation is available.
• Guest Housing is designed to offer accommodations for short-term stays only. Semester-based and long-term accommodations are reserved for NC State students or staff and must be submitted through the Housing Application process via MyPack Portal. You may contact the University Housing assignments office at [email protected] for additional information about long-term housing options for NC State affiliates.

Unless prior approval is given, all guests must check-out and return their keys no later than 3 p.m. on the scheduled date of departure or be charged for an additional night.

Each location comes fully furnished and includes:

• Central A/C for all spaces
• Full-size bed
• Bed, bath and kitchen linens
• Pots, pans and eating utensils

• Iron and ironing board
• Full kitchen with microwave, stove/oven and refrigerator
• Shower curtains and trash cans
• Washer and dryer in unit or community
• Internet access

Priority of Use

Guest housing accommodations are offered based on the availability and operational needs of University Housing. While we do our very best to honor all reservations, there may be rare occasions where adjustments are necessary to support internal housing priorities. If that happens, we will communicate with you as early as possible and explore alternative options when we can, though availability cannot be guaranteed. We truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations and reservation modification requests must be submitted in writing and received by University Housing Conference and Guest Services at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the scheduled arrival or departure date, as applicable.

Refunds will be issued for cancellations received in accordance with this policy. Refunds will not be issued for guests who fail to provide written cancellation notice at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance of their scheduled arrival, or for guests who do not check in on their scheduled arrival date (“no-show”).

Reservations may be extended or otherwise modified, subject to availability and within established length-of-stay limits. All approved changes must be confirmed in writing by University Housing Conference and Guest Services. If an extension cannot be accommodated, the guest must vacate the premises by the originally scheduled departure date and time.
